this was an extremely easy to use product. we’re very happy with the sound. the only thing is that it gets a little in the way of the gear shift.

horrible design, basically unusable. Cannot get a clear signal and is obstructing my stick shift so it’s hard to drive with it in the cig lighter

I purchased the wireless transmitter for use with my 2004 A4 sedan. The transmission was good in a city of 1 million +. Approximately 3 weeks after purchase, the plastic casing which plugs the unit into the cigarette holder partially broke.
Eventually, it completely broke off, and became caught in the cigarette lighter of my car, pulling the lighter out with it when I tried to remove it! I am going to try and fix the damage to my car myself. I would not recommend this adapter to anyone — there are at least dozens of more durable alternatives out there.

I can’t give this produce good marks except that it was cheap in price. I guess the sound quality and FM adjustability is good. The LCD display went out on day 2 (so I have to adjust the FM channel without knowing what frequency is on). The on/off button doesn’t work reliably. The grip does not hold the iPhone snugly and the phone comes crashing off the platform on practically any turn of the car. The product does not adjust well and bumps up against dashboard gear when trying to plug it in snugly. I suppose this may be a hard product to make to fit a broad set of use conditions, but there are a number of different things wrong in terms of reliability and design that are hard for me to look past.

Works functionally as promised, great FM signal strength, overpowers FM interference. I wouldn’t want to move this from car-to-car a lot as it appears to be pretty delicate. There is very little flexibility in the positioning of the unit within the power adapter so if your power adapter is in an inconvenient spot, you may not be able to tilt the phone for good visibility. I purchased mine primarily for when I’m using my GPS mapping software so that is important to me. Also, the LCD display which shows the transmission frequency can only be viewed from a very narrow angle but that wasn’t catastrophic since you typically “set it once and forget it.” Bottom line, good product for decent price but don’t bang it around a lot!
